Analysis
The large dependence on slaves to run sugar planatations was a huge kick off for slavery in the future. Before this time period, slavery was not as emphasized and relied on as it was in the running of the new plantations. Trading slaves was not as common and the dependence on them was raised to a much higher bar. Slaves were now a necessity in almost every land owner's life, and were traded all over the world from Africa. Not only for suagr plantations, but for cotton, fur, and almost every other agricultural product. Even parts of the world that did not need slaves working as much still profited from slave trade because of the sudden large reliance of them throughout. Due to the increase in the need for slaves starting at the pre modern era, slave trade and slaves in general had been an integral part in any system.
